This is the website for the Center for Citizen Media, a new initiative aimed at helping to enable and encourage grassroots media, especially citizen journalism, at every level.

Here is a Q&A that explains more about the mission.

The nonprofit Center is jointly affiliated with Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications and the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University.

The center’s founder and director is Dan Gillmor, author of We the Media: Grassroots Journalism by the People, for the People (2004, O’Reilly Media).
