Good points you make here.  If I were going to monetize (ugh, buzzwords) H2otown to a greater degree, I&#039;d start with video ads for local advertisers, but the most obvious way to make money is still to go to print; if I were going to devote the time to it, I&#039;d expand into Waltham and launch a TMC (total market coverage) publication mailed to each household.  After some back-of-napkin calculations about printing and mailing costs, it&#039;s possible to make money on such a venture even if you&#039;re undercutting the display ad rates of your average community weekly.

I&#039;m an Emerson alum, BTW.  I visit the school frequently, next time I drop by we should try to have coffee.
